I'm new to this site and I live in Vancouver, B.C. Canada.

Well i just acquired a D7000 after owning a few Nikons over the years. My second camera is a D50 which I've owned for 7+ yrs. Hope to learn lots on night photos and time lapse, star capture, etc.

Welcome to Nikonites. I'm certain that you'll enjoy your D7000 and hope you'll share some of your images with us. You should be able to learn a few things and make new friends.
