"Window(s)" One window or many that are beautiful, colorful, interesting, unique, etc. The main part of the photo needs to emphasize the window(s). If you get caught peeping into a window, we are not legally responsible.

HOW you create it is up to you. The idea is to challenge you to think outside of the box. Be creative and artistic for this one. Set it up, stage it, enhance it in post processing, or just get lucky. Your creativity is limited only by your imagination.

IMPORTANT TO READ THE FOLLOWING:

There ya go, let's get shooting! CREATIVITY/TECHNIQUE rules in this challenge, but there are a few guidelines:

1. Any photo submitted for a monthly assignment must be taken using a Nikon Camera!

2. All submissions must be taken during the month specified in the assignment* thread and taken by YOU! (Please insure that EXIF is either posted with the photo or if it gets messed up, hold yourself to the honor system and add the minimum Exif data of the Camera used and the date the photo was taken to your post)

3. Obviously, for this challenge, your photo must contain something with "Windows(s)." Other than that, it's all up to your interpretation of the theme. Any photo will be accepted, SOOC or edited, doesn't matter.

4. Photos must be posted in this thread to be considered. Links to photos will not be considered an entry (In other words, no Flikr, Photobucket, or similar links)

5. Only THREE entries per member for each assignment. Please post entries separately (1 photo per post) and number the entry.

6. Entries will be judged by the number of likes received.

7. The top 5 shots will be displayed in a separate thread, and will be displayed in no particular order.

8. This is intended to be a FUN challenge. No critiques unless specifically asked. Also, please limit posts to just photos and brief descriptions/titles. Any comments/discussion should occur elsewhere, PLEASE.

As listed in other challenges, please note: NO CASH OR PRIZES will be awarded for this Monthly Assignment.

HAVE FUN, can't wait to see the results!

*To clarify times for start and finish of the assignment, it is 0000 UTC/GMT similar to the weekly challenges.

We had so much fun last month with folks trying to get the prize on CWOM, we're doing it again. For those who may also shoot mirrorless and and need to keep their head warm, we might have a way to help. :) As usual, CWOM shares the same theme with Nikonites. The thread is here.

Christmas window 1 in our local small town, I wanted the low ambient light to enhance the power from the window - this one has a "Father Christmas" that moves and rotates to look directly at you.

Christmas window 2 - This is a charity shop window that has been created with a lot of love and attention.

Christmas window 3 - This is a window with lots of Christmas lights and character that draws you in and the longer you look the more you see as items are varied and plentiful - a real Christmas window that makes you smile.

Entry #2 "Frosted". Please note that I hadn't entered the right month when I first set-up my D7200. I just got it last week and was so anxious to use it that I didn't have my reading glasses on so I had entered the wrong month. My pictures were done in December. Scout's honor. :)

@Iansky Your entries look good, but the EXIF data is missing. Please edit you posts to add the minimum information of the camera used and date taken to each entry so they will be in the running for the monthly assignment.

Hi Walt, the EXIF data is in the bottom right hand corner of the frame - (camera model / lens / shutter speed / aperture / ISO). this is automatically transferred when I add the frame and is pulled from the embedded EXIF.

I hope this will suffice?
