Nasim Mansurov compares the Z5 to the Z6:

https://photographylife.com/nikon-z5-vs-z6

Auto focus sensitivity per Nikon site.
Z5 -3 to +19 EV (without low-light AF: -2 to +19 EV)
Z6 -3.5 to +19 EV (-6 to +19 EV with low-light AF)
Z7200 -3 to +19 EV
Z50 -2 to +19 EV (-4 to +19 EV with low-light AF)

So the Z50 has better low-light auto focus with low-light AF turned on? Why was the Z5 listed backward? And the D7200 AF sensitivity as good as the Z50 even if it has low light turned on?

I think if they want this to be successful, they're going to need to get the body/kit lens price down to <USD1400. When they start discounting the Z6 as it gets replaced by the Z6s, people are going to buy the Z6 instead.

I didn't fact check his article, I assumed that he was correct.

Who know which is correct. Was trying to compare the Low-light AF capabilities of different models and using the same source seemed best, was surprise by the d7200.

The price point does seem a little to close to the Z6. The 24-200 bundle seems a better value. I was hoping the 24-70 F4 would be the offered lens.

Hopefully they'll package it with the 24-70/4 at some point in the future. The 24-50 is of no interest to me. At this point if I were going to buy one, I'd get the body only and pick up a used 24-70/4 or just pick up a 24/1.8S, I've already got a 50mm1.8G and an FTZ...

Z5 Detection Range -3 to +19 EV (without low-light AF: -2 to +19 EV) measured in photo mode at ISO 100 and a temperature of 20 °C/68 °F using single-servo AF (AF-S) and a lens with a maximum aperture of f/2.0

Z6 Detection Range -3.5 to +19 EV (-6 to +19 EV with low-light AF) Detection range (ISO 100, f/2.0 lens, 20 °C/68 °F)

Marketing person showing why they get the big bucks.... It is all about the order of the text. I did not look at the D7200. I was a bit surprised by the difference between the Z6 and Z5.

Congratulations!

Well, I got my package yesterday... Paid for a refurbished Z6 w/24-70mm F4. Got a used Z6 and no lens. I'm pretty sure it's not a refurb since I didn't get any manuals or any documentation about the Nikon refurb warrantee.... Waiting to hear back from Adoram, but very disappointed at this juncture.

If it’s a Nikon refurb, you’ll see a dot punched on the plate with the serial number.
