I wonder what will be new other than card slots. Interesting.

Looks like an upgraded battery, @Woodyg3 although I don't know how much it will be different. Dan, will it have the same processor? I'm not familiar with specs of the mirrorless bodies. But the fact that it will have 2 slots is excellent.

2 card slots are great but I'm only tempted if it has GPS.

I'm only interested if there's no GPS, or at least if the GPS can be turned off...

The new S models will have the same sensor but a new dual processor supposedly. The battery will be one that can be charged while the camera is being used.

The Current Z cameras have gps if linked with Snap Bridge. I use it all the time. I link my phone and a 3 GIG JPG saves to the phone and the GPS location is saved on the phone and shared with the camera. I upload the file to LR and I have the GPS coordinates. It only works if you are linked via Bluetooth to your phone. It is slick and has very little impact on battery life.

You would be pleased with the Snap Bridge Option.

The card slots are assumed to be a SD cards, but that is still uncertain. The other thing is a working Vertical Grip.

I am anxious to hear more details, but I am not ready to upgrade for this. I think you could see some folks make the move since two big complaints are being addressed. Especially since so many improvements have been made to the focus system.

Upgraded battery....probably charges while being used, which is good. But I always carry a spare anyway.

Dual slots: for me, o interest. Touch wood I’ve never in 15 years lost a card. For a pro I can see the benefit.

Dual processors. Not an improved version, but it will help, I read, the internal processing required for the AF system.

Probably not enough for me to “upgrade”.

Personally I’d rathe Nikon got their lens production sorted and give us some more lenses!

    Cheers

The "upgraded" battery is probably only a small increase in capacity, there's only so much you can do in the available space. Not going to see a significant increase in the abysmal battery life until they give up the form factor and go to a larger battery, like Sony figured out they had to early in the A7 series.

Patrick, I meant to include that last part in my post. I prefer to save my dollars for a couple new lenses like a S macro and 70-200 f2.8 lenses... likely more.

    Hi all,
I'm back after a what seems like years away, nice to see you all again!

I traded in my D750 last week and got a Z6 with 24-70 f4. Absolutely love it, but as others have said I'd prefer to see a more rapid release of new lenses.
I'd like to be in a place where the only F mount lens I use is my Sigma 150-600, then everything else is Z... I think the 85 1.8 will be my next purchase, and I look forward to seeing when the 105 Macro comes out. I currently have no idea how I am going to sneak a purchase of the 70-200 f2.8s past my wife at £2300 though.....
