Whilst I get this to a point ... Why would you not want to use the opportunity of mirrorless to go full frame ... It makes no sense to me for them to go DX especially with the new mount, surely they wouldnt bring out a smaller mount just for DX, seems a little silly having a massive flange and covering a load of it with plastic ...

Not going to say reach but DX for wildlife will normally put more pixels on the subject than cropping an FX will.
It may just be me but are many newcomers to photography going to buy in at the current Z prices,if they are going to buy in at DX level it may be nice to start them on the mirrorless road.
