Nikon 1 AW1 or J5

So I'm looking to get one of these mirrorless to supplement my DSLR but I'm not sure which to get. I know the J5 is a better camera but is it worth paying another 300 dollars for it or should I get the water/shockproof AW1 and save the cash?

If its for a stand alone camera to take about and expect it to stand mild abuse i would say the AW1,if like me its to integrate with you other gear then the J5.

I'd saw AW1 to open up the aquatic realm for yourself at a fraction of the otherwise cost.

I'd go with the J5 as the AW1 is pretty specialized. I've seen too many reports of seal failures to jump on the AW1. If you want occasional underwater use, personally I'd go with a underwater housing for approximately US$100.

Nah I would mainly use this camera when I don't want to take my D7200 but also want something better than my phone.
