My point and shoot is getting a little long in the tooth so I've been considering the Nikon P7000 or Canon G12. As I've been researching and trying to discover the reason behind the recent price drop on the P7000, I've found multiple sites reporting that Nikon will be introducing a mirrorless camera in March or April. Also, Thom Hogan has stated that there will be an advertising event in April. Finally, Nikon's longtime partner, Fujifilm, has announced the X100 which may be the sister camera to the new Nikon like the D200 and S5 Pro were related in the past. Should be interesting and I think I may wait for a while.

DPReview just posted a review of the Fuji X100 here: Fujifilm FinePix X100 First Look Preview: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review

It looks very very very very nice. I sure hope Nikon is working with them. I could totally see this as a second camera - especially if it has Commander mode and works with the current Speedlights!
