There seems to be a lot of discussion surrounding the differences between a so-called "pro" lens vs. the kit lenses that come with consumer grade DSLR's and whether or not a pro level level lens can make you a better photographer, I felt it was time to address this issue. This morning the city of San Diego brought down the South Bay Power plant to make way for a park in the lower bay estuaries. Although the shots of the power plant coming down are okay the thing that I found most fascinating was the power of the explosions. Focus stacking is a very easy way to produce an image with the maximum depth of field and doesn't require anything more than a copy of Photoshop.
First you need to set your camera up on a tripod and turn off auto-focus (and VR, if you have it). Now using the manual focus, bring the closest part of your subject into focus and release the0 Thanks/Like
