Well it looks like I'm winning this battle against the dreaded nicotine! With 2 and 1/2 hours left to go to complete my third day smoke-free, it looks like nicotine is losing it's grip on me! Woohoo!
Just over 3 days ago I would have swore that I couldn't quit this bad habit, and look at me now, I've pried that monkey off my back for0 Thanks/Like
Well as I'm writing it's been 2 hours and 15 minutes without a cigarette! I estimate that eguals at least nine cigarettes I haven't smoked!
But it's hard going, and I have to consciously watch that I don't lite up without thinking about it.
I don't know of anything I can do that will help get me through this except pure willpower,0 Thanks/Like
OK! I quit smoking with the incouragement of my friends at 7:30 pm eastern time here in the US! The first Ten minutes was done with me constantly glancing over at the clock telling myself "You can do this" over and over like a mantra! The second ten minutes went by painlessly, and I can't explain why either! After that it's been very hard0 Thanks/Like
Hey all!
Joining a forum can be a great experience, but sometimes it isn't! Now a helpful bit of advice I would offer is to introduce yourself in the intro forum(without asking questions right away)! Take a little time to fill out your profile, to help it be known that your not just a one time poster looking for someone to answer your questions.0 Thanks/Like
This post is more about forums than photography, but I think it's relevant to our forum.
Often you read the words "no offense, but" and someone trys to explain why their point of view is right and you are mistaken. And often it is spoken politely with a friendly attitude, with both parties striving to be helpful.
