I have been into photography since I was 17 and borrowed my father's Leica M3. While in graduate school, and working in a camera shop part time, I acquired a Nikon F w/ motor drive. Later I graduated to the F4 and the N8008 as a backup. After those served me well for many years, and I no longer had access to a darkroom, I decided to go digital. I bought a D3000 in early 2010 because, at the time, that was all I could afford, and it could use all my AF lenses, albeit, without their autofocus ability.
I enjoy taking photos of nature, landscapes, and critters (both domesticated and wild). I'm not much of a people picture taker.
I currently teach science to at risk adolescents at a residential treatment center. Also, I teach a photography elective.
