A lot of space on this forum is devoted to lenses. Is this one better than that one? Which lens do I need next? And on and on.
but the most important ones to all of us are the ones that are in our eyes. Too often we take them for granted.
Of course, time and disease can damage them, but thanks to modern medicine and modern optical design
Twice in the last month I have been disturbed by stories posted on this site of newbies being taken advantage of by less than reputable dealers. perhaps we need a tutorial that would cover the need for choosing reliable dealers to buy camera equipment from.

Been checking out the dialogue on some other photo sites. I know, it is hard to believe but there are other sites. Could not get over how rude and insulting some of the posters get with each other.

Following a thread here the other day showing the value of using the 300mm 2.8 in doing portraits. Wow, I want one of those. But will I get one, probably not. After all I don't do portraits. But more importantly I'm remind of a similar situation in my woodworking, where I have acquired more tools than any two craftsman can use.

Snowy Saturday so I am working on my files, looking for the next photo i will print. I am somewhat amazed by the number of members that do not print their work. I look on this somewhat like big game hunting. The hunt is not really finished until it is bagged, tagged, stuffed and hanging on the wall. But I digress....
