I'm starting this thread for people that want to share their macro shots. It might get moved to a dedicated macro section of "learning photography" later but it will be available here for now.

Here's one of mine from last spring:

D700, Sigma 105 macro@f9, 1/50s, iso 400.

Thanks so much for this Marcel.
i'll be flooding this thread (or the section if it opens) once I've learnt a bit & bought my 105mm micro :)
Please do also post any useful links to learning macro photography & related if you do have any

Marcel, great idea and a great shot to start it off... I have nothing to share at the moment but will enjoy following along and learning.

Excellent idea Marcel. I'm sure this will be a popular thread.

Here's one of my earlier shots to help kick it off.....

Nikon Micro 55mm 2.8D, @ f10, iso100, 1/2sec

Nikon calls it MACRO, not MICRO.....just so ya know. :) So it's called 105mm macro.

This is one I took about 2 years ago. I haven't done much since then in macro. I sold my 85 macro lens for lack of use.

Very nice Jack! I do not have a macro lens... so just gonna sit and admire the photo's form the crew... I am sure I will enjoy and learn just by watching.. Do not know if I will ever get a macro lens, might be nice someday but ZI would have to justify the price vs use/need. Possibly if I stumple on a used deal..
