Post your nighttime cityscape photos

Here's an image I captured last night in Hillcrest. Many of the cities surrounding San Diego have these city signs and I'd like to collect night photos of all of them. I started here in Hillcrest which is an area of San Diego similar to the Castro in San Francisco or Dupont Circle in DC - lots of great restaurants and clubs with a very strong night life. I wanted to capture the nightlife on the weekend of the Pride parade but ended up missing it this year. I'll shoot for next year.

This is from a fountain outside of Skytree in Tokyo. Some little kids playing in the fountain at night...

Sailed down to Cardiff the other evening and took a few shots.

I liked these although they are pretty much straight off the camera with no post processing.

Hi Andy,

You got two great scenes right there!

Torquay Harbour: Along the centre horizontal line, too many buildings are blown out!
By using the highlight recovery tool, a more balance tonal range could be reached.

The big-weel scene: the vivid tones are washed out, the clarity tool could help here.

I would have like to demonstrate since your editing says "yes" but I know that these
tweak are better performed on the original RAW.

Please, let me see your new results!

Have a good day…

re. #9 Singapore Central Business District

Grandiose city scape with extra bonus of dynamic elements in the colourful streaks
of light in the water area!

Congratulations,

re: #8 Civil Courts Building

In general, the shot is very good but for two points:
1. the top of the tower would contribute better to the composition by being brought
down a tad in luminosity
2. the horizon and the parallax really need some tweaking…

The foreground area with the purple fountains is irresistible! The major part of the
scene is brilliantly exposed in the relation sky/buildings.

Have a good day…

re: #2 Skytree in Tokyo

Very cool effect between the very static man on the phone and the playful little girl,
… real eye catcher!

The WB, the horizon and the parallax need tweaking!

This photograph of yours adds human elements usually missing in such night takes!

Have a good day…
