Hi Dawg, I hope you don't mind, but I took this shot few nights ago (trying to catch the very last glimpse of the MW with no luck:( -- a cloudy day and night). A little show of your mention did hanging up there though.

That was one assume sight. Didn't get a good picture.

OH! By the way, I have not received my posting credits recently except when I post a message like this. Oh well!

No problem. I have never complained about people posting pics in my threads. Especially, these kinds of threads. They are for everybody.

I went out and took a few images for a panorama, but I don't think they are worth processing. Maybe if I had an interesting background.

Agreed. Very pretty to look at. Sorry you aren't getting your credits. I honestly never pay attention to any of that. I think I earned enough to get glowing letters, then after that I never bothered to look at it again.

Getting credits for posting is just something I enjoy. Not really important, but fun for me.

AN ALIGNMENT OF PLANETS: Check out the sunset sky this week. Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus are getting together with the Moon for a beautiful series of conjunctions. The 5-day show begins tonight, Dec. 6th, when the crescent Moon passes by Venus, and continues through Friday, Dec. 10th, when the celestial bodies stretch themselves into a dramatic straight line across the southwestern sky. Sky maps and observing tips @ Spaceweather.com.

COMET LEONARD IS APPROACHING EARTH: Comet Leonard (C/2021 A1) is approaching Earth for a close encounter on Dec. 12th. So far this week, the comet has nearly tripled in brightness, making it an easy target for small telescopes and digital cameras. Six days after its close approach to Earth, Comet Leonard will have an even closer encounter with Venus. That flyby will be visible in evening skies next week. Sky maps @ Spaceweather.com.
