@Hobbit I have clear skies now, but I never know when a marine layer will get in the way. My biggest problem is insomnia. I am up most of the night, which is great for night photography, but lousy for morning images.

I use an app from first light optics in the uk called clear outside , yeah I work nights so I get the not really being awake in the morning so glad I’m working at home as 1hours ride is hard work lol

Thanks for the heads up about this comet.
I tried 3 nights in a row and got clouds the first 2.
I thought I was going to have to strain hard to see it, but nope.
Its absolutely visible,(though tiny) without aid.

It should be great views at night just after dusk this weekend. Hope your skies are clear. I'll be camping but in between a bunch of mountains so I am not sure if itll be high enough to see over the peaks.
