First attempt at a night scene.

My wife and I went to the Jersey shore this weekend. And since it was a full moon I decided to do some night scenes. My tripod head has a problem that it still moves some when locked down so some did not turn out. I am guessing the breeze moved it. But a few did. Feedback welcome as it was my first time. Nikon D300 Nikon 18-70. ISO 800 F13 30sec

I would have opened the aperture to maximum take multiple shots at different exposures.

Not bad for a first try.............

I would open the aperture and reduce your ISO. You would be amazed at what foreground and background detail/sharpness you can get as low as f/2.8 at infinity focus. Also alot do two exposures, one for the foreground and one for the background and then blend them.

But in saying that you have done well for your first try.
