its been a good while since I've managed to get out and view with a scope and man o man do you forget stuff !!!!!!

so I'm out early setting up the mount for the 102GT as viewing didn't look that good , lots of haze and dust, plus i was being idle lol

so out i go and do you think i could get the mount to align - lots of swearing ensured.

eventually i thought i had it and slewed to andromeda - nope nothing :(, slew to saturn still nothing, by now I'm an hour in and can't even see the obvious stuff, have a go with the 60mm and yes its all there and i can see it !!!!

try again nope still nothing, so i try the camera and swing to the Swan nebula as I've never seen it and CLICK - I'm going to smash this up in a mo, realign , back i go - whoooo hooooo - finally - there is a smudge in the bottom corner - adjust the scope to centre it and keep trying - well after 50 attempts after a long long return this is the best i got - next time its clear I'm getting the big scope out and seeing how much of a mess i can make with that, tracking was poor, focusing abysmal , and the actual sky was wonderful to the naked eye but every thing was twinkling meaning lots of atmospheric disturbance :(

this is the results of the 50 attempts
