I had to walk into the airport just before the moon was completely eclipsed. Would have been good weather to shoot here in DFW, but I was also expecting the moon in the wrong place in the sky.

Hopefully someone here got a good capture this morning!

Pretty nice! How did you expose for detail in the shadow without blowing out the highlights in the lit portion? Mine didn’t come out so hot Moon Shots

Sadly good intentions didn't go very far this morning. I had tripod ready, camera set out with 200-500 lens, woke up on time but........................... 20° out didn't look too appealing. Ha! I'll plan for the next one in 150 years.

I have a dog with a back injury. He kept me up most of the night before last. He also was up pacing until after midnight last night, and I had to monitor him due to some other issues. I got up in time this morning to find the moon, but I came back inside, laid down on the comfy chair with my jacket still on and passed out. My husband left for work and didn't even try to get me back up. I woke up in time to see it faint above the horizon. It looked cool, but there was no way to get a decent image by that point.

The little bit I saw looked cool, but I was in no condition to shoot images. It will probably take me another 2 days to recover if he doens't do the same thing to me tonight. He is on pain meds now, so he finally passed out

10F degrees here and breezy! Not worth it though, lol. My glasses fogged up, my ml-l3 remote stopped working and eventually my fingers stopped working. Glad I didn't go anywhere other than out my back door. It would have been miserable if I drove somewhere for better scenery. Not much eclipse to see here in NY, it was just getting started as it set behind the trees and the sun came up.
