I wasn't sure where to post these as there aren't too many golf threads.

These are from a small golf course--it's my understanding that the land was once used to divert runoff from the local parking lots then the land was purchased to build a golf course. In the past couple of years, there has been some discussion about adding some drainage because after it rains, the golfers complain about all the water.

*Please note*--the water isn't from a hazard--it's there because it recently rained.

The green is towards the left in the background. I'm standing off to the left of the tee so no one should take a tee shot from this spot, but it gives you an idea of how extensive the water problem is:

Below--I believe the tee shot would be taken from right about where I'm standing (the holes aren't long and I zoomed in with a 155mm lens on FX):

I forgot to mention that I parked in an adjacent parking lot and walked to the above hole which was closest to me. Since the parking lot was so close to the hole, I can understand finding lost golf balls nearby. However, these weren't the kind of balls I expected to see (especially without a basketball hoop or a field there). ;)

Looking forward to springtime. Not much golfing going on here in Connecticut this time of year. And after the incident with the lamp and picture in the living room, the wife says that the clubs have to stay in the garage......

Re: It's time for golf

I've been a frustrated would be golfer.

I try to play at least twice a year but that didn't happen in 2013. My golf clubs still looks pretty new since 2008. Maybe after this year, I'll have more time.

Some of the previous golf games that I participated in.

These are all excellent photos, Glenn, but I must say that middle photo of the hole is spectacular! The hole looks to be amazing, and what a view of it with how you shot it!!!

Thanks Hark. Some of the best landscapes are from the Golf country clubs.

The middle picture looks very intimidating. The only way to play it is to land the golf ball at or near the center. Otherwise, you'll see your ball on the water hazards.
