Hi All. I have been taking shots of a local, iconic peak, and wondered if you could give an opinion on which is your favorite. THANKS!

Number 5 for me as well, Woody. The reason why I prefer that one is all the others have the peak in the middle. To me it's more pleasing off to one side. And the others don't seem to have much of any vignette making them seem a little bare. The framing from the branch works very well in #5, too!

They are all good, but I like #5 for similar reasons as others have stated. Off-center and the branch frames without distracting from the peak of the mountain. I think my second choice would be #2

I just don't like any kind of framing (tree branch, etc.). Reminds me of advice in all the "How to take wonderful photos" books.

At first I thought I liked #1, then after looking at all of them I found I was only looking at the tree, not the peak. So, #5 has me looking around the entire image including the peak, just like if I were standing out there. So, #5 it is.

#5 then #1. Have you though about re-shooting #1 so the tip of the branch doesn't break up the shoreline and has water above it.

All worthy shots, by the way! #2 with the ducks was the most evocative for me, but I’m always a sucker for wildlife, so there Otherwise, #7 drew my attention to the majesty of the peak first and foremost. #4 is pleasing to my eyes too.

#1 without the branch, #5 as it stands now. It's too bad you couldn't get that pesky mountain out of your shots! Nice work. # 7 would be interesting if more water was showing.... pushing the cattails? toward the bottom.

#2 but re-cropped in 4x5 proportions. I think there is too much space below the Ducks.
