Here comes winter...

I do not know about you, but I always lose my inspiration during the winter.
Snow may be interesting, but where I come from it snowing for a week or two, and the rest of the winter is dry and gray, dull and uninspiring. Also, most of the time the mud and dirt replaces the snow, so only sometimes I can have those pure white photos like on greeting cards.

What would you recommend for boring and dull winter, how to get some inspiration and find something interesting to shoot?

This will be my 1st winter with the camera, got quite a few things lined up,
like doing my 1st light trail,

Food out for the birds, so will get some good pictures there,

will be easy to get some good pictures of the moon with the dark nights.

Icicles forming on the gutters/window sill

just to name a few :)

I spent some time doing inside shots, learning a little about lighting/flash etc.
Also you could try taking ordinary objects and trying to photograph them in different ways.
One project I did one month in winter was a photographic A - Z.... a photo a day for a month, each day started with the next letter of the alphabet... that took some doing and planning :)
