Snow Melt Ground Fog

Two days ago we had 6 inches of snow on the ground and below freezing weather. Yesterday temps reached the 60's and did so as well today. I expected to wake up to a layer of ground fog and was surprised not to get it. About 10AM I look out and as the temps reached the high 50's you could see the fog rise up, so I threw my boots on and trekked out into the field behind my house.

The oddest thing is that as I walked I'd hit temperature swings of what I can only assume were 7-10 degrees. It would actually cause my lens, which I'd been using with no issues, to fog up. This only happened with my 24-120mm with the UV filter on it. My 15mm was fine.

Here are some shots from this morning.

Wauw. Really great images. I love number 2 but they all works so good. The blurred out background on number 1 are genius.
