I love age of sail literature and movies and one of my favorite "true" stories of all time is the story of Captain Bligh and Fletcher Christian and the HMS Bounty. The mutiny, Bligh's incredible feat of sailing and survival, and what happened on Pitcairn Island and that which goes on there today so many years later. Just a great story of the human condition.

There are two places in the world I would like to see...Portsmouth England and Pitcairn Island...directly because of the story of the Bounty.

I hear you sir and thank you. I'm going to need to find a Spanish treasure galleon or something though to get to where I want to go. (maybe not Portsmouth but Pitcairn would probably take big bucks plus I believe you have to know someone there in order to stay for any extended period) :)

HeyJeff.Instead of the first or the last place the Bounty went, what about splitting the difference and go to Hawaii, the turning point.lol
The pics you could get would be awesome, never mind the sun and sand.:)

This is a photo of my old boat,(a 35' Donzi ZF Cuddy/Fish) that I had to sell back in April of this year, because I could no longer take it out alone due to a stroke I had in January. Man I miss going offshore alone and fishing and contemplating life in general. This picture was taken 2 years ago up on Nassau Sound while beached & having lunch with the family. My lovely wife, my beautiful daughter and her hubby and all 4 grandkids. Fantastic memories and times back then.
