So I was on my way to work last week and thought i'd stop off at a nice vantage point for my local landmark 'Glastonbury Tour'.. Well, I popped through the bushes and saw this fine specimen of a male Roe deer and his lil'friend (a male Pheasent). Got my J1 and just happened to have the Nikkor 1 30-110mm, Still not enough though so hense ALMOST got a damn good photo..

they were about 200metres away

This only adds to the justification of extending my lens collection with a telephoto :)

So C'mon guys lets see your 'Almost' shots!

I was just outside seeing what my dogs were up to and saw this in a palm tree. I got out my Tamron Macro and took this evidence shot before I tried to move the palm frond so I could get a better view. Needless to say the bundle of feathers flew off.

Not sure why all my photos come up small?

I kept reading that as palm frog and I was thinking.... What kind of frog has feathers and a tail like that!!! But, I've never been to that part of the world, so anything was possible. Then I read it again.

Here is one I did the other day without checking my shutter speed. 1/15s doesn't quite make it acceptable for hand held portraits...

Here's one...Shooting "bursts" with the D50 and one of the images was way over exposed...

Lucky I shoot in raw because it was so pale and was able to find this detail in it...

I overexposed this one big time...film camera shot in harsh light no meter manual focus...frigging black on white got me!

I ALMOST carjacked the guy but I didn't want to go to jail. LOL
