Nice shots! Much nicer paint than that NS black and white!

Thank you! I changed my metering to Center Weighted so that the sky wouldn't overwhelm the light reading, but I probably should have chosen Spot instead.

I was pleased to find that the river level had fallen five feet or so. That assured I wouldn't have another adventure in the mud like last time.

Made a stop while driving through Marion OH last Thursday. Caught the CSX local returning to the yard & a Northbound NS merchandise freight heading through town.

Checked out South Carolina's little Lancaster & Chester shortline yesterday and found a booming line, with trains everywhere. It was once owned by a textile firm, but was sold to some very smart railroaders who have expanded its miles and its carloads. The line is all jointed rail in need of resurfacing, so speeds are slow and trains are easy to follow. Several portions of the route are in woodland with no nearby highways, so trains can "disappear" for a while.

Sandpatch, if I squint a little I see Conrail locomotives. Love the tunnel motor, I'm glad they survive.

Tramp, I love this shot. What a neat shot of that steamer & on a turntable no less. I bet if you did a B&W conversion it would be hard to date the picture.

    Great photos everybody!

The L&C also has a historic general office and a neat HO model railroad upstairs that closely replicates the entire railroad.

I want to return again for some scenic photos of L&C trains twisting their way through the pines.

Frustratingly, I can't find much about L&C passenger service or the station. I dig the weather vane too!
