Post your computer background suitable pictures

If you are like me, you like to occasionally change the background on your computer to one of the images you have recently shot. It's great when they have that "new photo" smell. Most of you have noticed that there are some pictures that seem to work better as a background, than other images that are superior shots. I believe there are several reasons for this. One is that there are going to be shortcut icons covering some of the photo. This means that it needs to be a strong image that doesn't require you to have to look at a lot of small details in all parts of the image. I also find that large sections of bland detail on the left of the image works well, again to accommodate the icons.

I did a quick search, and didn't see any other threads that address this subject, so I thought I'd start one. If there is one out there I missed, mods feel free to delete this one.

I'll get the ball rolling with this recent picture. I've posted it elsewhere on the forum, but it makes a nice background for my tastes. I suppose it helps that I don't have a ton of icons on my computer, so the main item of interest in this is clear of obstructions.

Same background in use for some time. Prefer darker images as most applications are white. With my OS no icons show on desktop.

I have 6 devices each with it's own wallpaper. Three PC's, a tablet, 2 phones.

My 2 laptops use 2 variations of this pic.

I don't have the wallpaper for my main photo editing desktop PC available online. It's an old one I took about 9 years ago of a very small 8-inch tall waterfall at a state park and is one of my all-time favorite landscape photos.

Just to be clear, this doesn't have to be a picture you actually use as a background. It need only be one you deem suitable for a background.

Well, that's different! In that case this is the one I used to use when I had a corgi. Made me smile every time AND it had room for all my thumbnails :)

Nice lighthouse photos! I like them. :encouragement:
Thanks. Both were shot in CA. The first is Point Arena Light. It's a pano I stitched from shots I took in 2015. The second is Point Cabrillo Light taken during the same road trip. The Coolpix P530 that I had at the time was my first Nikon camera.

This is one of my favorite landscape images. It rained earlier so the leaves were still wet. And that means colors can be more saturated than normal. Even to the naked eye, the colors were stunning. Although I haven't switched my computer wallpaper, this one would work well for me.
