The weather was miserable today, so I did a little project I have been meaning to do

I broke out the sewing machine and covered my "new" 400mm F/2.8 ED IF AIS Nikkor with Realtree fabric. All of my other long telephotos have already been done. Each piece is cut from heavy weight cotton fabric and with velcro strips at both ends. Camouflaging the lens comes in very handy when photographing wildlife, especially in the fall and winter. I will probably do the top legs of the tripod next and maybe take the Realtree gorilla tape off of my gimbal mount and do it as well.

My fiancé was so impressed with my seamstress abilities she recommended I do it for others. If anyone is interested, I will cover your lens as well. I can do it for less than half what Lenscoat does. Because each job will be custom fit, you will just have to mail me your lens, I will cover it and mail it back to you. If you have a pattern other than Realtree you want it done in, let me know beforehand so I can order it. All the edges are machine sewn so you could even be toss in the washer if you needed to.
