    I did have a few shots that I really liked and was looking forward to working on but I am more concerned about the $140.00 card getting replaced.

    My point is only that Nikon should know those cards can fail even though the body may not have caused it. Doesn't one of the mirrorless bodies only have one slot for this type of card? I'm not sure they offer any type of backup for one of the new mirrorless bodies. And that's why I'm hoping you'd at least report it to Nikon.

    Can you still use some type of SD card as a backup? And can you use SD cards until you get the other one replaced?

    The Sony card doesn't work in the card reader on my iMac or in my camera. They both give me the same message in the picture. My Lexar card works in both the iMac with card reader and in the camera. The camera works fine with my Lexar 64 gig card taking pictures and viewing them.
