Camera Manuals.

Do you have a good, usable camera manual? None of my Nikon manuals pass that test.
Recently picked up a camera to carry on a quick trip (Fuji, not Nikon) and I had to struggle to reset the diaphragm to find. (Use the Iris ring, dummy! Duh.)
Reflecting on Cameras and Manuals I've had I am astonished at how badly they serve the manufacturer. It's as if they were written by a Martian that had very little ESL (English as a Second Language) training. Nor do they seem to follow the programming normal schema as I was taught - start upper left corner go right by major function, go down to secondary function ... etc.
Jeez, seems like I need a manual to get through the manuals! (Rant close)

Yup! When I bought my D90 (my first DSLR), I had to buy a companion book to explain everything! :beguiled: Now that I've learned the basics of Nikon DSLR's, that isn't necessary. Learning a new electronic is kind of like learning a new language. ;) Good luck.

I carry a 7" tablet we PDF manuals on it with my landscape kit. But still manual writing, composition and editing seems to be a neglected art.
