Frame and Mat Question

I am planning on putting this 8 x 10 iceberg photo in a frame with a mat. Can't decide if a single or double mat looks better. Thanks for any input, I rarely print and frame but this will be on display for public vieiwing in my local city. The other 8 x 10's are done on white core foam board and have a white matt, wanting to add something a little different in style. Uploaded the image to a site called Fine Art America to get some ideas, don't have an account with them but wanted to see what it would look like first before buying a frame locally.

** The tiny iceberg in the back top left will be gone, seems a little distracting.

First image has a 1 inch single mat. My guess is the frame black and white help make the image pop a bit?

2nd image has 1 inch outer mat and 0.25 inner mat.

Double Mat Iceberg.jpg

I have never done this before strictly online stuff, so any opinion is welcome. In the end the shot should look pretty good, the print I got back is excellent with some minor adjustments so its just getting the presentation correct. Not sure if it matters if a small note in the bottom left of the inner mat is needed such as "NFLD Iceberg" or the exact location "Twillingate Nfld", and my intials in the bottom right corner "POT". No issue at all leaving it blank. I have a Pigma MICRON 03 Archival Ink Pen 0.35mm line Black that writes really nice. But it may not be suitable for this, no idea.

I would go with the double mat if it was my print. I think it would look classier.

Double mattes always elevate the photo just a little bit more as a piece of art. If you are really in love with the image then double matte.
