That moon

We had the "Red moon / blue moon" event recently here in the UK and not being able to wait until midnight when it would turn red, I grabbed an image early on in the evening to capture the details on the surface.

Handheld with Nikon D500 + 300mm F4PF and 1.4 convertor - the system did a great job of capturing a clear image despite being taken at ISO 2800.

What do you mean: you "had it in the UK"? A few pics from Melbourne (D500 + 200-500; very heavy wind, so getting the red moon sharp turned out an excessive challenge):
