i am going with this, we had this little boy since Dec 2015 (10 days old) and he moved to his Adoptive home this month, he will be our last foster child, time to call it a day, we had cared for 28 kids during our 12 years trying to help out. I hope we get to keep in contact will him, miss him big time, he was a super kid.

Perhaps this was already discussed, but could the spider have "mimicked" the ant's color, etc to facilitate the hunt?
While I haven't researched this spider, I have no doubt it has evolved to look like the Green Ants to enable it to more easily hunt them. We have another spider here that has evolved to have the same smell as the Green Ants to make it possible for them to raid the ants nests and steal their larvae.

Good job on the fostering Roy. How many of the 28 do you still have contact with?

This one from yesterday might be my favorite. I am still processing pictures from several days back. :)

@Marilynne I love the way Osprey look down at you when they fly by. They must wonder what the heck that clicking sound is when we photograph them. Great shot!

This one is my favorite for the month. It was taken with my very first zoom lens for my Nikon N70. The lens is a Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 from back in the late 1990's.

I wanted to test the lens to decide whether or not to keep it. While I was pleasantly surprised by this image, the overall image quality of other photos left me with a lot to be desired. So it's a bittersweet photo knowing I won't be using this lens again.

Don't ask me why I used these settings. I am thinking ISO 64 was leftover from another shoot. 1/13th of a second? I got lucky.
