The DF is back

After 6 weeks without the camera (repair centre waiting for Nikon UK to provide the parts - took me contacting UK MD to get some positive action) it has been repaired, serviced and sensor cleaned and feels like a new camera.........brilliant.

These are my very first images with the DF+50mm f1.8 G lens since getting it back - it was a damp and foggy day so used fill flash for the greenery shots.

It is such a nice tactile camera that reminds me of my days shooting with analogue Nikons!

Now to shoot some street which is my main reason for buying the DF.

Lovely shots hope its all sorted for you,you say tactile strangely enough i feel just the same about the 0lympus EM 10MK 11 when it has a cheap grip fitted,so much so that ime looking for a replacement.

Sorry to contaminate your thread

Thanks Mike and no worries, the forum is a place to share all thoughts and I agree with you - I did own an OMD EM1 and loved that for tactile use, switched to Fuji for the same reason and loved that as well.

Alas I did not find the AFC matched what I wanted so switched back to Nikon (D500) however the DF offers a feeling in use that makes me slow down and consider my shots a little more so a perfect camera for me to use when shooting street / documentary.

Good luck and enjoy the EM10 MK2
