Festival of Trees at the Embassy.........

A tradition in my city, like others I'm sure, is to have businesses or individuals decorate Christmas trees and put them on display. In my locale that would be at the Embassy theater. The Embassy, or Emboyd theater as it was once called, is a very historic place. Built in 1928, it was Bob Hope's first emcee job and provided a stage for the likes of Laurel and Hardy, Cab Calloway, Perry Como, Doris Day, etc. Today, it still is used for many national groups and comedians alike.........and is the home to my city's Philharmonic. The Embassy has "wrapped" around it's North and West sides a 7 story, 250 room hotel. It is also the home to the Grande Page Pipe Organ (which wasn't available for photos of course, especially under the circumstances). It is a cool place, and I will hopefully be able to go back for a tour.

Now, for the Christmas trees, and a few shots inside/outside of the auditorium itself.........(please understand that this was for the most part wall to wall people, a still learning photographer, and some low lighting LOL!!!!) Excuse the blurs and grainy images......of course everything looked better in RAW:)

Thanks Chris. Love your pictures. I really enjoy old theaters and if I ever get in your part of the world, I will have to look it up.

"CHRIS" Nice series of shots. Just curious about your EXIF data, specifically the lens you used. I am assuming you were using your D5200

Thank you Walt:)
Yes sir, the D5200 and my latest, and bestest, purchase..........yes I said bestest..........the Tokina 11-20mm f2.8. I like this lens. I took, and used, my monopod as well.......I mean really used it, because I had to with the low light, low shutter speed, etc. In tight quarters, it was nice actually using that darn thing LOL.
