Some of you on this forum have received bulbs from my friend Connie's Garden. These are the bulbs that originated from the White House 50 years ago and have been tended in this area by Connie's uncle and then her Dad and now by her. This will be the thread where everyone with those bulbs, You know who you are, can post pictures of their blossoms.
I will start off with a photo of Connie"s Cannas Bed, which is a little over 12' foot in diameter _AAA8772 - Version 2.jpg

And here is a photo of one of her flowers taken by me this morningAAA_8780 - Version 2.jpg

and another from our friend Marsha who is also growing these bulbs for the first time this year. This shot is a little bit artsy, but heh,we have to experiment a little bit._AAA8798 - Version 2.jpg

SO now we will wait for everyone else with bulbs to post

I am really enjoying my cannas. They change dramatically daily. :) And they are BEAUTIFUL!!
Thank You Ron and Connie :)

I received mine today Ron and I thank you. Now I can's wait till spring to plant them. Cannas do great here in Alabama since we are a hardy zone they stay in the ground year round and grow fast and strong. Again thank you so much.

I planted mine in peat pots to get them started right. I just finished a raised planter for mine and will be transplanting them today once I get all the dirt in there. I am so excited to see them grow and bloom and to remember the person that gave them to me. The story is as important as the flowers.

Pardon the cell phone shot but here is the bed all finished.

Mine got a late start this year but maybe on into the summer they will bloom. How much history do you know about these flowers?

Just what Ron told me a few years back when he sent me tubers. I had a couple of half-hearted blooms last month, but they are now putting up good growth. I divided off some tubers last year and planted them in our memorial garden at the Hort department
