10 hours from meeting the Don

In less than 10 hours I will be meeting up with Don and his wife Gloria in Moab, Utah for some photography. My wife MoabLady was going to join us, but unfortunately she rolled her ankle spraining it and tearing the ligament. She is in a boot and unable to join us.

Most of all I look forward to shooting with Don because he is, and I have said it time and again, the photographer on here that overachieves and shows how far you can push your tools. Most representative of this was his D5100 thread.

I am off to finish packing.

Enjoy the experience; it sounds like a great opportunity.

Meeting other members and spending the day shooting with them has been exceptional for me. (Thanks Marilynne, Rich and Kevin!). I hope you all learn from and enjoy the experience.

I'm distressed to hear about ML's sprain and tear. My she have a full recovery and return back to her top form ASAP!

First, sorry to hear about Moab Lady's injuries, and I wish her a speedy recovery.
Second. If you see Don, let him know that @Eyelight is asking about the keys to the liquor cabinet.:indecisiveness:
Third, have fun and enjoy yourselves.

Oops sorry madam for not wishing you speedy recovery - it is such an ingrained wish I forgot to mention it. Please do not take me off the cookie list (errr ... was I ever on it?) :)

best wishes to ML on a speedy recovery, tell her not to be kicking at you again MM.

I am sure you will enjoy your shooting time together, have fun.

PS, MM try not to let Don fall to far behind (in quality) his wife with the shots. :D

Hold on there one minute @Blacktop.

I think that you are just trying to draw attention away from yourself, Pete.

Rumor has it that you are going through all the desk drawers looking for the keys to the company jet.

Great photo opps. Been throught there a number of times.
But I was in my tractor-trailer so no time to get photos.

Everyone is safe EXCEPT Mrs Moab. I have my sights set on her for ditching me this weekend by making up some sort of flimsy excuse.

MoabMan and I had a great and long day of shooting and talking about photography. I do have a photo of the two of us that my wife shot with her iPhone.

One thing I did learn today was that what everyone was thinking about MM is true. He is crazy. The rock he is standing on that has no fence or railing has a drop off of 2,000 feet.

Was there once for about 2 hours. Did not know which way to point my camera first. Hope you can stay long enough to get some great pics. God willing and the creeks don't rise, I will get back someday.
