On the Way to the Neighbors

Went out for a nice sunny morning walk. Spring is a bit behind schedule but picking up. This old railroad bed is now used for bicycles, snowmobiles, and hikers, makes for a safe commute on old legs. Last time through was 2 years back and I stumbled on a crew of beaver. Was hoping to catch them at work but someone must have trapped them pretty much out.

Some of the wildlife around here:

Common Grackle

Tree Swallow, they are abundant here, as is the Grackle

The lone beaver having a lilly stalk, well until the shutter clicked and it when under. Waited a bit to see it resurface but crap out of luck. Wildlife around here is skittish to humans. In fact that dam pileated I could here kept just enough behind me to stay out of sight, those buggers sure do hammer on a tree.

There were many painted turtles catching some rays.

A big and beautiful Red Tailed Hawk soaring way, way up there wouldn't get any closer and glided away.

Got dizzy trying to get the colors right on this (I am a color blind photo hobbyist). When the beaver lay claim, this becomes a small lake.

Where did the clouds go in the sky? Exposure issues
