One of my shots with the D3000

Ok here you have it. I used Rick's camera before he bought the D90 and took this shot. I thought it was the most cutest thing ever. Lucas wanted me to take a picture of him with a shovel so I took the shot, I know the white balance is off I am still tweaking it a bit but just thought I would post my new shot with this camera. Can not wait for spring to hit here I am sick of looking at this white snow everywhere.

Actually, Christine, the white balance seems to be pretty good (unless my monitor is off!)
My philosophy is that if a kid asks to be photographed, he should get it, regardless of composition and other technicalities. I always love it when the kids at school see my camera and ask to have their photos taken.
Cute shot! . . . and congratulations on your "new" camera!

Christine, this is a great shot. I think the white balance is just fine. I like how you can see his face well too, it could get dark with all the bright white snow behind him.

Helene, no your monitor is not off. It was so bright out there that day. She is shooting into the sun on this shot from on top of the porch. Looks like I need to teach Lucas what a snow shovel is too.

White balance looks good to me, and I have a calibrated monitor. Nice shot,. Christine.
