M42 Adapter for Nikon camera's

Hi, I just purchased an adapter from amazon. It's an adapter for m42 screw on lens. I don't want to risk opening it. Because to me it says m42 to Nikon v1 mirror less? I did the homework before ordering it. But things happen. Does anyone have experience with one of these adapters? Yes I know everything will be all manual, but seems that's the "in" thing now lolz

I have included some pics to help out. I'm going to call them on Monday to make sure. If not, I'll return it. I know they work on Pentax camera's because I have one. But it's cheaper to buy the adapter than a pentax body in order to use the old glass. Lens = ASAHI PENTAX Super tak 55mm 1.8, auto revuenon 50mm 1.8 vivitar 28mm 2.8 and a 200mm put away somewhere.

thanks in advance,

My answer is way past the time when it was needed. The key words you needed to search are M42 to Nikon F-mount adapter. F mount is the DSLR mount that has been in existence in 1 form or another since 1959.

Besides F, there was the Nikon-1 system that was mirrorless and intended to compete with Micro-Four-Thirds, and failed. Currently Z-mount is the Nikon mirrorless mount system. I would be impressed if you ever managed to screw a Z-mount adapter into an F-mount body. The Z-mount opening is significantly larger than F.

I've gotten as far as attaching the lens and removing. I'm waiting on the focus screen and maybe a magnifier
