newbie lens question

Hey All
I am trying to buy my wife a lens that was damaged but I want to make sure it will work. The lens is an 28-105 ond it is on a f70. My wife has a D80 and D600. Will the lens work on her camera? I can get the camera and lens for $60 bucks so why not if it will work. Your help is appreciated. I am totally clueless on this and trying to surprise her.

the lens works on either camera, but I would worry by what is damaged. My wife if fussy, and if she has already a 600 and 80, she must be a serious photographer.

thanks for the reply....she is getting pretty serious but still always learning. She is pretty fussy as well but as long as it is just housing wear for $80 cant go wrong and toss the F70.

laughs, don't toss the F70, resell without the lens for 20 dollars, or she can run some film thru it The F70 was a popular camara. Actually, that is a great way to buy vintage lens, by buying low cost film cameras that include a lens. often costing less then what the lens by itself would fetch.
