I was wondering what are some good Lens cleaning kit's and product's on the market,I'm looking for cheaper stuff right now I can get off ebay or something like that.

I know what some are going to say don't buy cheap stuff and I can understand that, what I'm looking for is not the cheapest stuff that is crap just stuff that is not at the top end of the price range for this stuff, the reason I don't want to spend to much on Lens cleaner is because I just got a D5200 plus a new 55-300MM Lens Camera Bag by Nikkon Wasabi Power Battery Charger plus 2 Battery pack kit Filters 3 SD Cards and 2 books on the D5200 and photography and there could be other stuff I have forgotten so I ant to let the old bank account heal up just a bit and yes I did forget something a Tripod as well.

What do you use to wipe it off a Kleenex or a soft Lens cloth like you get with Binocular's.

I'm going to get some of that stuff as it looks pretty good.

Microfiber cloths. I just up and bought a dozen of 'em at the local camera store. That way I always have clean ones available.

Never use Kleenex as that is a wood product and will create very fine abrasions in the surface of the lens. Over time, you'll end up with a 'haze'.

I recommend and use on my glass and viewfinders a Norwex brand microfiber optic cloth. All it takes is a couple wipes and it's clean from smudges, dust and fingerprints. Came in a little plastic package and I have had it in there for probably 2-3 years now. Works excellent! Around $10.50 I think. My mom sells the product and it is something you would have to find a sales person to buy but I would highly recommend it. They last for a very long time and are washable.

Pretzel have you used the product you link I know dumb question but I have to ask,I went to WallyWorld and the guy had a demo of the same thing only one large Pen and Brush and Dry Compound and pretty sure it's a case of same crap different pile and they come out of the same factory.

I brushed the pad on my finger by accident and black powder came off and stayed on my skin pretty well, here is what I want to know how do you get the black Carbon off the Lens do you use a Cloth or do you use the brush before and after using the Padded thing with the Carbon on it.

The reason I ask the way you are supposed to used it is the WallyWorld brand does not say what to do after using the Pad.

I've never had a carbon film left, ever, and I've used each size of pen dozens of times. Brush before, lenspen after, always sparkling. Don't buy the knockoffs.

Well I don't know if you have any in your area, but Walmart usually has Zeiss lens moist wipes for fairly cheap. Just saying it's an alternative if you have one close to you. IIRC $5 gets you like 100ct package.

Sams Club has them as well. 200 ct for $8.99. I use them for field cleaning as they're very handy when actually out shooting.

You'll find them in the Optical Dept. if the store has one (most do these days) or back with the cameras. They're also stocked in the pharmacy next to the reading glasses.

I think the trick is not to touch the black fuzzy thing or whatever it is. It won't stay on the lens. A very long time ago we had one kicking around and I remember getting some on my fingers. Never hurt the lens though.
