hi, 1 year ago, my father bought me a d5000.. actually i don't want it... i'm more interested in d3100.. but what to do i had d 5000 now.. the problem is i'm using 18-55 lens.. and the picture made by the camera is bad(i think)...
i want my picture to be nice and i the lens focused slow and if focused by manuals it took some times... in the meantime, but now nikon will be launching d3200... u guyz think i should by new lens or upgrade to d3200 bcoz it have 24mp(d5000 12mp), also d5000 mic(while recording) is bad...:confused: thankss;)

Personally, for the cost I would add either the 35mm 1.8 or the 50mm 1.8 to what you already have as in the long run you will probably end up with one anyhow.

If after that you are not happy then perhaps think about a body upgrade but I have seen some really good images taked with the D5000 and the 35mm 1.8.

I'd go with a lens upgrade. I have the 35mm F1.8 AF-S. Very good lens. There are some 55-300 DX VR AF-S refurbished lenses in the pipeline priced between $269US to $299US if you need a telephoto.
Consider more practice with the 18-55. A lot of folks get excellent results with the 18-55 myself included.

D3100 prices should start falling as retailers dump the D3100 in favor of the D3200.
When D3100 prices dip low enough I'm getting another D3100 body just to have a spare.
