It's hard to tell from your video but I think I can see the aperture lever functioning normally, so that's good. I think the problem is that the mirror is simply getting stuck. I'd suggest you take your D800 to a professional, but if you want to pursue repairing it yourself search YouTube for "dslr mirror stuck" and you'll find plenty of suggested fixes.

    Good luck!

    Hello,
It is not the mirror but a metal piece.
    I have 4 D800.
3 bodies had the same breakdown at 200,000 clicks.
a little less than 400 euros of repair.
Nikon does not want to admit that there is a design problem.
There is not enough feedback because the problem comes late ...
After repair the case will live long ....
A D800 at 650,000 clicks since the repair.

From this picture it looks like the focusing screen retainer spring has gotten loose. It shouldn't open by itself, but if it has happened once it might be a good idea to check the other cameras too. Make sure the spring clicks positively in place.

The retainer spring and the loose screen will cause havoc inside the mirror box, that's for sure. Lucky if the shutter and sensor survived.

At 200,000 clicks the camera has earned its keep though, imho.
