Z5 LCD Display - Busy

In still shooting mode, is there a way for the LCD not to display so much information... AE bracket scale on the right, especially? Seems like a lot of distracting elements during composition. The DISP button doesn't present an option for a bare-minimum display.

Do the higher Z models perform differently? Z6ii?

Thanks.

I have firmware 1.43, but pressing DISP shows AE Bracket, whereas diagram 2 from the Z5 manual does not. I must have inadvertently changed a setting somewhere? Where?

Too bad there isn't a setting like on phones and tablets where the size of fonts and icons can be enlarged or reduced to individual preferences. Perhaps that feature is on the Z9... but not available for us mere mortals using lesser models.

I don't know of making the view even more simple for Z5. I know the higher models have the extra display on top for showing all that data and maybe can turn it off in view mode. Personally I use the histogram view.

I looked up the online manuals for the Z7II and Z8. Z7II has about the same display options. Z8 has more display options and you can customize which modes you have available to scroll though with the DISP button. But a plain display with no icons or only a few limited icons in display is not there that I can see.

Txs BF... but I checked several times in the menus and bracketing was not turned on. So, I just "reset photo shooting menu" and that did it. All other settings remained as they were.
