Hey folks!
I'm new here (and slightly too young to have frequented forums in my teens, so I'm very sorry that I don't know all the proper etiquette here yet), but I'm having a new issue with my Pixel Oppilas wireless remote shutter release not connecting with my Nikon D5600. It worked when I first got it about a month ago, used it on bulb mode for one night, and it's been broken ever since. The remote and the base seem to be communicating alright, but when I try to release the shutter (with the remote or using the button on the base) my camera's screen darkens like it's going to take a picture but never does.
I've been researching about what could be the problem, and so far I've tried
- New batteries/disconnecting and reconnecting everything
- Making sure the remote codes are switched to the same position, and that cables are properly connected
- Changing out of AF-S and changing into other modes (namely AF-C)
- Trying every combination of camera shooting modes and remote modes together
- Turning off AND on back button shooting
I'm truly stumped. Does anyone have any other suggestions to try (or if this is 100% busted, any other remotes to get instead)? Thank you all in advance!
