Will you pay for Flickr Pro?

Those of you who use flickr probably know that the batch uploadr will stop working tomorrow, unless you pay for the Pro version. I'm uploading all my processed jpegs as a backup and a way of sharing some selected photos. I like the way flickr works, I like its 1 TB limit.

However, I cannot see anything else in the Pro version that I need. If I were to pay for the Pro version, it would be only for the uploadr. I'm not sure it is worth that much.

If you are using flickr and not on Pro already: are you going to pay for the Pro version now?

Flickr screwed me when their iPhone app updated and then posted 3K photos to the account that became an impossibility to clean up. I will not post another image to Flickr again, and hell no, I won't pay.

I wasn't aware of the changes coming, that said I continue to pay for the 'Pro' version myself. I like the tool and the stats. It's a solid image sharing solution for me.

I use Flickr to share general images that aren't personal/family (I use a locked Smugmug site for that) and images that aren't 'featured' on my photography web site.

I normally just upload one at a time as I'm processing anyway. I mainly got it for the 1TB free space and it's just another way to back up among others. Can never have too many backups.

So no ,I'm not paying.

I use flickr Pro, one big reason is they offer unlimited storage so all my hi res photos are saved. I also have my own website which I use and can store hi res images. This to me is a cheap form of back up.

Once I got the message that the uploader would only work on Pro accounts, I uninstalled the uploader and deleted it. Then again, I don't share much on Flickr, so it was easy to quit.
