That was a quick fix in Aperture. Here's another using a stock template in Silver Efex (from Niks). I prefer this one:

I've replaced the colour version on my Flickr page with this latest B&W. Ta, gov! It's tempting to keep the colour in the ground lights but I am free of the cheese!

Well I am impressed with what you were able to achieve with the Silver Efex. Is that a plug in to your Aperture or a stand alone program?

It's part of the Nik/Niks (never quite sure) stable which is a standalone app OR a plugin for Aperture. I am still experimenting with them but I really dig quick fixes.
