Too simple ??

This isn't a selective colour shot, just a white car at mid day. Removed a couple of scratches and a rough touch up or two otherwise pretty much as shot.

I really like it.

I reckon keeping a photograph simple is one of the hardest things to accomplish.

Most photos are way too busy and the subject gets lost in the 'noise'.

It's a great photo. :)

I like it. I would not have figured out immediately that it was a tail light. Cool idea. This is a wonderful example of less is more. Thanks for sharing.

I like the shot quite a bit as well. I'd like to see line at the top of the photo, where it seems to fade out just a couple inches above the light fixture, enhanced a bit: That's a very nice, organic s-curve you've got going on there and if that were my shot, I'd want to play that up to the fullest.

I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure it was a Humber Super Snipe IV

That is why I did not recognize it. I have never even heard of it. I know a lot more about American cars and a few of the English cars. Nowadays they all pretty much look alike. If you can't see the name plate you would be hard pressed to tell what it is. There are a few exceptions of course.

My thoughts exactly. That fading line is the only flaw ( and a small one at that) in this very nice image. Simple is almost always better.

There is no such thing as "too simple" in my opinion. When an image gets too cluttered or complex, it really starts to lose its appeal. The viewer should not have to be made to work to see what is in the image. This image's real beauty is in its simplicity. Its simplicity makes it an abstract image, and an outstanding one at that!

I like it quite a bit. Doesn't even look like a tail light in that shot. Your avatar is much more obvious than the posted shot.
