Software for an older OS?

Befuddled

New member
New owner of Nikon D3300 and have discovered it is a lot more complicated to use than my old Sony. To get me started I am asking if anyone can suggest what software (hopefully free) I can use to transfer my images from the camera to my PC that is running Windows 7 Pro. Before answering please don't lecture me about various security risks of using Windows 7 when all the enlightened ones are using W11. I have used W7 since day one and it does all I ask of it without a single security issue. I don't intend doing any clever editing of my photos apart from perhaps resizing and very simple stuff. I got no software with the camera and in fact not even a user manual.
Thanks in advance.

An obsolete PC will have to use obsolete software. Picasa 3 has not been developed for the last 10 years and can still be downloaded. I used to use it until Google dropped it's support.

Ps: I am still running the same PC I bought 14 years ago, but I have it updated to Win11 so I can keep up with most changes. But I still use the Picasa photo viewer on it after removing the rest of the package. It's that good.

Thankyou very much for your recommendation. I will give it a try.
