Do you have the Merlin app Robin? Yes, I do and I keep forgetting that it has a photo ID. Thank you. That's what we will call her, a Cape May Warbler.

I ran two of your photos through Merlin and both times Cape May Warbler was at the top of the list
.

This is a new bird for me. It is cool looking.
I think I identified it. Common Poorwill?
We have about 4 of these in our neighborhood. But one of the neighbors has a cat that has started hunting in their nesting area so they will probably abandon the area soon.View attachment 414020View attachment 414022n View attachment 414023View attachment 414024
It's a Chuck Will's Widow. They are in the whip poor will family (nightjar).

They are fairly common but are usually hard to find. You will hear them before you see them. They call out at the beginning of the evening then usually go silent. I believe I read they call to mark out territory. They nest on the ground and are almost invisible. They are a fairly large bird, the largest of the night jar family.

These are Red Shouldered Hawks. The first one is a nest I found near my grandson's baseball park and it had at least 3 babies. We have a lot of these hawks around here.
